I have posted to this board before about the edema i had after lasik and how I was seeing Dr. Trokel at Columbia to help my problems. Since then my right eye has stabilized into horrible blurriness and I looked into Topo Guided lasik to fix what I found out was irregular corneas post-Lasik.
I was just told my a Dr Stevens in london that I had "Shagreen" before lasik and the lasik I had done, which was with a microkeratome and wavelight laser.
He thinks the Shagreen has contributed heavily to the my contrast issues. He also said i have a high spherical aberration which was there pre-op.
He suggested rigid lenses and seeing if they help me at all which would tell me if wavefront guided treatment would be of help at all. Going to talk to Dr. Trokel about this this week.
