Pinhole implant for pseudophakic eyes

I wasn't sure whether to post this in the IOL/cataract section or here - but it's a kind of rehab option so I settled on here.

I came across this while searching for options for myself, to fix my night vision problems after LASEK surgery:

Turns out it's no use for me as it's only suitable if you have had/need cataract surgery, which I don't (yet!). But on reading the posts here, I realise there are a few on this board who are in that boat. Artistwoman, I was thinking of you in particular, as I saw that you can't wear contacts (I'm so sorry...) but that you have had cataract surgery?

It was developed in Brazil but the manufacturers are in Germany and one of the doctors who was involved in the project is from the US - he's listed as an author of the first research paper quoted in the pdf (I'm trying hard not to name names here! :-) )

Apologies if this is already on the VSRN radar - if not I hope it's of interest.
