dry eyes and astigmatism after 8 months post PRK

Hello I’m new here and I need some help. I had my operation PRK done in Puerto Rico (yes English is not my main language so sorry if there’s any spelling mistake) I started having problems 8 months post operation. My dry eyes got worst for some reason which lead me to get punctual plugs. I kept complaining to my doctor about some blurry vision and he said it was impossible since I had 20/20 vision and blamed the dry eyes. Even though the problems persisted after applying drops. I decided to change doctor and asked for my medical record, that’s when I learned I developed astigmatism at the eight-month post op. I was furious because the doctor didn’t discus that with me. My night vision has gotten worst, another doctor told me my pupils expand beyond the treatment zone which doesn’t help. I’m currently living in Madrid while doing my masters, does anyone know a doctor here that might help or in any other part of Europe? Plus, what should I do about the astigmatism and the pupil size problem? I read about RGP lenses but I’m scared about using them with my dry eyes (and the dry air in Madrid doesn’t help).

I have so many questions

  1. Does the dry eyes have something to do with the astigmatism?
  2. Why did they get worst after 8 months?
  3. Can late astigmatism be cured with glasses or is it considered irregular?
