Regarding the previous koneoll's question and Dr. Hartzok's answer about pupil size and overcorrection, I am wondering if the effect of overcorrection on dark adapted pupil size can be measured?
I mean, is there any data about how overcorrection, in diopters, is needed for reducing dark adapted pupil size for 1mm?

Pavel,

I don't know if anyone has ever researched this but I imagine the response if highly variable, dependent on age and natural pupil size.

A more practical application would be to have your doctor use a trial frame and lenses in a darkened exam room to explore the effect/benefit. Some patients will not tolerate overcorrection so they are torn between the potential to sharpen vision and the induced eyestrain.
