Hi,

It's been about 2.5 years since I last looked into options for my condition (see sig). Since that time, I tried going back to RGP lenses and they were too painful to wear for extended periods of time (over 5 hours).

Softperms are working fine for now, but my night vision continues it's gradual decline. The differences in correctible vision between my left eye and right eye are giving me a lazy eye and making it more difficult to read books and focus on a CRT.

My main concern are the headaches from reading, since the right eye can focus much better.

Are there any options (invasive or not) for my condition?

Thank you.

For very irregular corneas such as yours, I have found that scleral lenses work the best. These lenses are made of a highly oxygen permeable material (are rigid lenses)and are between 15mm and 18mm in diameter. The lenses are extremely comfortable and won't rock over the irregular surface. The cornea is vaulted by the lenses and are supported by the white portion of the eye. Go to my website:www.eyefreedom.com and click on the scleral lens button for a further explanaton.
