Interestingly, when I had a topography done last night, the astigmatism value dropped slightly in each eye. I can't remember the OD, but OS went from 0.75 (topography a week ago) to 0.62.

Perhaps the acular with the contacts is working to smooth the cornea somehow?

Is it best to be "completely myoptic" if I think there's a possibility of a topographical re-treatment?

Topography can change from day to day and test to test. I usually take several topos and average them to get the most accurate data.
