Hello Doctors - it's Alphagan-P I am using, and it really does work! Although I still have starbursts, halos etc. at night, it is much less noticeable after putting the drops in. Since I see my surgeon every few months, I trust that he will make certain my cornea is doing ok (he is very good!).

Secondly - I see a lot of discussion about RGPs - what about the hybrid lenses? Any luck with those for people who cannot tolerate RGPs and who have irregular shaped cornea?

Thanks so much for all the info!

THe hybrids to date, in fact the only one, are pretty poor lenses. The idea was great, but the lenses were physiologically poor. We are constantly told that the next generation is on its way, but they havent materialised yet.

There is a new hybrid lens in the third phase of clinical trials. It is called the "synergeyes" and uses a much higher Dk for the rigid portion of the lens. No word on when it may be available.
