I just found out on the newswire that the following news that Delphi Medical Systems was awarded a $35 million contract to manufacture Opthonix Z-View Aberometer ( The ability of the Z-View technology to correct high order errors can reduce glare, blurring and improve contrast. Even night vision can be improved ): http://delphi.com/news/pressReleases/pr30975-12232004

Does anyone know of a clinical practice that has one now ?

The device is not in procuction yet. For what it is worth, don't hold your breath for production or results.

THere are a few fundamentals that they chose not to mention. For example, regardless of how well you can assess the optics of the eye, there is no laser capable of creating the required surface.

They do not account for healing, something that will throw the best RS procedure into ruin.

At least we are starting to realise that burning chunks of flesh off the eye mucks up the optical system and produces poorer optics than the original system. If only they could link the redesigned corneal shape as determined by topography and aberrometers to the laser system, we would finally be at the start of true and accurate RS.
