I had PRK on february 2006 with one of the best doctors in my country. When the doctor saw me for the first time he said: "how strange, your tears break as you blink! this is unbelievable! bla bla, you are a good candidate though so your surgery will be next friday".

I already had very dry eyes and very large pupils so I wasn't a good candidate at all, that should give an idea of what I have been through.

It has been a year and my eyes burn all the time. I survived the depression that came after surgery but because of my large pupils the starbursts and halos are driving me crazy... I am hoping the sclerals or RGPs work for me so I recover my night driving but I don't see how with these dry eyes.

I hope my story warns other people so they don't make the same mistake. Do not put one of your greatest gifts in life in any human hands, even if they appear to be the best, they are still human.
