I had LASIK done on both eyes on Jan 13, 2004. That was one of the worst days I've ever had. A couple of days before, I had sinus problems due to allergies and had forgotten that I have dry eyes as a result. But, I went ahead and had the surgery done since I was on a time limitation. Right after the surgery, my eyes hurt like hell. I wanted to itch both eyes really bad, but didn't. My eyes felt like fire was on them for about a week or so. I'm now nearing my 2 month post-op and have allergies now. My eyes feel like fire once again, and the allergy meds dry my eyes out. I have put in tears almost every 5 minutes. One eye doctor told me that all sinus and allergy medication will cause dry eyes. I have now learned to never have any kind of eye surgery whenever I have sinus problems. There is a possibility that my birth control pills are also adding to the dry eye mess. I can never win in this situation.
