I just wanted to warn anyone out there that is very farsighted to PLEASE do not fall for the new
"thing" for vision repair. My eye doctor said it was the "going" thing for people that are as farsighted as I am (plus 8.25 and 6.00). I was scheduled the next week for cataract surgery (I do not nor have I ever had cataracts) my right eye was done and the following week my left eye was done. From the moment I came out of the operating room I knew I made a mistake. My left eye (which is my dominant eye) will not focus at anything that is more than arms lenght from me. so now when I look around me everything is a blurry mess. I went to see my doctor which said well now you are nearsighted and hopefully in time you will adjust to the glasses. I had surgery because I did not want to and have problems with wearing them. I know my problem is not as severe as others on here. But I would give anything that I had not choice to do this - I just recently went though a divorce and feel so alone and now I feel as if I am a prisoner in my home because driving is almost impossible. I just wanted to share this in hopes that others do not jump on the "banwagon" for this new type of help for farsightness.... once you have your natural lens removed you can never replace it. I wish I had only thought before I did this.
