I have been waiting before I posted to this forum holding out for the "healing" process to take place. Seeing so many people comment on that they are waiting for wavefront I decided to post my experience and complications. I live in Canada where wavefront is available. I was -8.75 left eye and -7.50 o.25 astig. right eye. I corrected and tolerated contacts well. Before surgery I was told by the doctor that my left cornea was thinner and the prescription stronger therefore I was borderline and an enhancment could only be done if I was overcorrected. Postop my vison was not that great but has improved, I am 7 weeks post op. I still have irregular astigmatism in both eyes, the left is much worse. I have dry eyes at night, not so bad during the day. 3 days ago as I read the newspaper I could see the vision in my left eye go. It remained worse than just after the operation for 3 days. The astigmatism in the left eye as measured by my optometrist rotates each check. Could the structural integrity of my left eye. thin cornea be now causing my vision fluctuations. It would seem to me it doesn't matter how good wave front is if the flap does not take properly. I see my Doctor on the weekend and I will try and get topo's to post. Any comments would be appreciated.
