I am delighted that I have found this site. I had RK surgery in 1992 and I didn't realize there were so many out there with the same problems I have.
It took me a year before I realized the doctor wasn't telling me the truth about my surgery when I kept asking about the haloes, fluctuation of vision, glares, starbursts and depth perception. I found a doctor in Houston and another on in Dallas that finally told me that the RK doctor cut too close to my pupil. I finally got RGP contacts which helped during the day, but I still do not drive at night. I suffer from depression during the winter months when there is more darkness. I dread the time that may come if I can't wear contacts. I hope there is someone out there that can evenually help us. The doctor says that a cornea transplant is the only thing they could do and says there are too many risks involved in that unless I get a lot worse. Thanks for starting this site to let us know that we are not alone out there.
